The world music festival WOMADelaide is set to hit town this weekend. The festival celebrates the “sounds of the planet”, in all their colourful glory. This year Andrew will be helping to showcase the Australian outback flavours at the Parachilna Garden Café, in partnership with the Prairie Hotel.
Hang out between acts at the café to sample some of the best Aussie cuisine on offer. The Parachilna will offer festival-goers a choice of Prairie wraps and rolls-to-go for a quick fix, featuring delicious combos such as; the Lemon Myrtle Tom Yum spiced chicken wrap, and a crusty Saltbush Dukkah Turkish Pide. For the more adventurous, a feral antipasto platter will give people a sample of Red Gum smoked Camel, Roo Mettwurst, and even Emu Pate, (vegetarian option also available).
The café also offers more substantial feeds for those who are doing some serious fancy footwork in-front of the artists; with Red Curry of Goat, Spencer Gulf Kingfish, and Free Range Chicken Curry on the menu.
A delicious selection of outback-inspired desserts is also available if first and second courses are not enough! Taste a delectable Quandong crumble pie, with Vanilla Bean Gelato, or a Belgian Chocolate and Muntries Pudding.
Be sure to pop past and say hello this weekend.
