Alice Springs will be turning on the heat next week, in more ways than one, with the 2011 Alice Desert Festival. Andrew will be the special guest host at the Wild Bush Foods Gala dinner at 7pm on Sunday the 18th of September located at the Crowne Plaza.
The night is sure to be a spectacular evening, where diners will enjoy hors doeuvres featuring Crocodile Ribs in a Lemon Aspen Tom Yum marinade. Guests will then move onto an entree featuring a Spiced Yabby Bisque with a Coconut Lemon Myrtle foam. Main course is a selection of platters featuring Slow Roast Camel Scotch Fillet – with Truffle Oil and Pepper Leaf Potato Gnocchi – with Bush Banana and Brown Butter, and other delicious options.
Diners will finish the evening with a ‘sugar bag’ including Native Bee Honey Parfait, with a Coolamon Tuile with Wattleseed and Ferrero Rocher Gelato. Aside from the delicious food on offer, the dinner will educate guests about the huge variety of Australian Native food textures, tastes and aromas.
If this has your mouth watering, tickets to the gala dinner are still available, and are priced at $120. For bookings and more information contact: Araluen Box Office on 08 8951 1122
